Lego has officially confirmed that its next collaboration with Nintendo will be focused on Animal Crossing. To celebrate the announcement, Lego released a new trailer that showed off several Animal Crossing villagers, all rendered in Lego’s distinctive blocky style.
While the Lego Company and Nintendo haven’t officially revealed which sets will be released, their names, or when they’ll arrive, there have been a few leaks prior to the announcement. As spotted by VGC, five sets will reportedly launch in March 2024. So far, the tentative list includes:
- Set 77046: 170 pieces ($15)
- Set 77047: 164 pieces ($20)
- Set 77048: 233 pieces ($30)
- Set 77049: 389 pieces ($40)
- Set 77050: 535 pieces ($75)
Lego and Nintendo’s collaboration has resulted in some popular sets released over the last couple of years. The Super Mario line has combined high-tech mini-figures of Mario, Luigi, and Peach with colorful customizable courses, the Mighty Bowser is a massive and technically impressive recreation of the Koopa king, and a Super Mario 64 Question Block is a treasure trove of nods to the plumber’s N64 past. There’s even a Lego set where you can build an old-school television and NES console, complete with Super Mario Bros. on the screen.
Beyond Nintendo, Lego has also teamed up with Sega and Sony, a partnership that saw the release of Sonic the Hedgehog and Horizon Forbidden West sets, which were quickly snatched up by fans.
